Importance of music

   As I mentioned about Cameron Crowe in the last post, I think the songs that were used in his movies are definitely great. Not only about the songs but also the timing when each song was used and the moods that each song made. The more I see his movies, the more I'm into his world. That's because the right piece of music marries the right piece of film as he said, I think. (In the last video I posted, Cameron Crowe talks about music.) We live with music. We can't think our lives without music.
I just can't believe that in Japan we are not allowed to dance and enjoy music in the night clubs. Moreover, it seems that lots of Japanese people don't like listening to music that they don't know. It's so "Mottainai"! I wish I were such a famous person and did something really influential. Yeah, I will.



音楽センス抜群なキャメロンクロウ。本人も音楽について話しているほど。観れば観るほど、夢中にさせられる。ストーリーは落ち着いたものが多いのに、惹きこまれてついつい観てしまう。やっぱりそれは音楽と映像がすごく素敵だからかな、という私の解釈。
大げさじゃなく、音楽なしでは生きていけない。昔はそう思うことさえなかったものの、今考えてみれば常に音に触れている生活をしてきたんだな、と。幼稚園に入る前からのピアノに加え、ダンス、そのうちお酒と一緒に楽しむ事を覚えて、、、そういえば、音楽って楽しい思い出しかないな。お酒での失態は抜きにして。笑
と、ここで問題発生。文字にすると色々とややこしいですが、日本での音楽に対する規制の厳しさに疑問を抱いてます。それに、日本の人たちは自分が知らない曲を楽しむことを知らないみたい。知らないとリズムに乗らないというのは、見た事ないから食べないってことかな。う〜ん、もったいない。どっちにしても、なにかいいアイデアないかな。

Singles

My look for a nightout was inspired by the movie "Singles", which was directed by Cameron Crowe.

It was on a screen about 20 years ago, but still beautiful. The songs that were used in this movie are really nice like his other movies. The fashion in it is Grunge. Rock and cool. My look was not exactly like Grunge fashion, but who cares? lol I was inspired by Singles and imagined what it would be like if I were in that movie. Big knit, damaged jeans and black vintage leather jacket.... That is the way I enjoy fashion. Fashion is not only about clothes. Fashion is about how you live, I think.

映画Singlesに影響された日のスタイル。 20年経った今もいい映画。キャメロンクロウの最高な音楽センス。ファッションはグランジ。ootdはグランジとも言い難いけれど、、、ファッションの自己満足な世界であれば何でもあり。(なはず？)

映画の世界観に影響されて、もしわたしがそこに生きてたらって想像して…。ファッションの楽しむ方法のひとつ。the妄想家。笑

でも、(妄想家の言い訳かもしれないけれど)私はファッションは服だけじゃないと思ってて、生活のスタイルとか、場所とか仕草とか、全部含めておしゃれでいたい。

It Happened

Super cool and sweet lady in the world : Kate Lanphear Senior Style Director at US ELLE

She's been famous in Japan for several years, many magazines have shared her styles. I don't know how many times I applied her look to my look since I love her cool black style. I am a big fan of her.

Then last night, a magical thing happened. I met Kate Lanphear in Tokyo!! She came to Japan to work with one of the famous girls' brand's producers. The last night was the day many girls' brands organized some events at some places in Tokyo. I actually didn't know that she was in Tokyo. I know I was such a lucky girl. I could talk to her and take a picture with her. She looks cool in most of the magazines, but she was totally nice and cute.(Can I say cute to her?:P) The person who has such a great career also has such a great heart. I LOVE HER.

One of the forgettable nights. Definitely.

日本でもよくスナップが掲載されているので、知ってる人も多いとは思いますが。わたし自身、彼女を参考にその日のコーディネートを考えたりするほどのファン。

まさか会えるなんて想像もしていなかったのに、あっさり叶ってしまった幸せな夢。

友達の仕事のお手伝いで行っていたtouchMeのアフターパーティーにKateが。と、ここまででもびっくりだったのに、そのあとタイミングがあって写真も撮れて少し話も出来て、更にびっくりな夜。写真で見るとちょっとクールそうな彼女も、話すとすごくかわいくて優しくて、益々好きになっちゃった夜。＝最高な夜！
素晴らしい経歴の持ち主は、同時に素晴らしいハートの持ち主でした。人柄もスタイルも大好きなKate Lanphear♡

Blaze!

I am so regret not getting this BLAZE sweater as soon as I found it on Vintage Virgin, actually Blaze sweater was on Super Muse. It seems no more available.
Why? The reason isn't so special for many people, just for my teammates. That is about my lovely memories in the high school. I belonged to a cheerleading club. The name of our team was "Blaze☆". Blaze☆ was everything for us for me. Now you can see why this sweater means a lot to me. When I found this sweater, I thought I should get it. The only problem was it was already spring. Then now here I am. just regretting. I could wear this in next winter maybe.
Then I learned again timing is literally important when shopping. I should have mulled over it like all the girls do.




後悔先に立たず。Virgin Vintageのブログで見つけたBlazeセーターを買わなかったこと。
というのも、わたしの高校時代の全てだったチアのチーム名がBlaze☆で、このセーターに惹かれて…そのときは春だったから買わずにいたら、いつの間にか消えていました。次の冬に着ることだって出来たかもしれないのに。なんて今考えても遅いけれど。
やっぱり、お買い物にはタイミングが重要。買うときも買わないときも、しっかりよく考えるべきなんだな。とまた再確認した話でした。笑

Just amazing

One of my very favorite brands : Mary Katrantzou.

I don't know why I didn't get to know it when I was in NYC (because I think NY is the place people can find anything). In Japan, there is no store that has their collections. Just in case, if you don't know them you should see the web and collections. The inspiration they used as one of their collections was stamps(you can see the motifs in the pictures I posted). Unique and so fashion. Mary Katrantzou is definitely amazing.

NYにいたときに知っていれば実物を見る事が出来たかも、と残念。日本にはショップがないからなかなか出会えないので…。ssのコレクションでは、切手をモチーフに作られていて、それがすごくおしゃれで見ていて楽しい♪すごく素敵なブランドなので、きっといつか日本にも来てくれることを願って！わたしのお気に入り&注目ブランド。
